BOOKS: Jane Costello - The Love Shack

I've read quite a few Jane Costello books now and whilst none of them can touch the love I have for 'Girl on the Run', her new addition, 'The Love Shack', did come pretty close. For me, that's saying something because I could quite happily read 'Girl on the Run' over and over again.
'The Love Shack' shares the story of Dan and Gemma who have found their dream home but unfortunately cannot afford it immediately. Making the ultimate sacrifice the two of them move back in with Dan's mum.Whilst Dan automatically think's it's going to be a disaster from the get go with his mother the couple faces other challenges along the way.

I found myself laughing a lot throughout this book. Mostly because the characters of Dan and Gemma are very similar I've found to myself and my own boyfriend, with some of the things that they say to events that happen to them. It was very relatable which is why I loved it. I also like that the novel was writing from both Dan and Gemma's view points, I haven't read anything like that for a while and found it quite refreshing. I always find that Jane Costello hits the balance of humour and being sincere perfectly which is what  makes the stories more memorable. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good summer read or a fictional story that will make them chuckle.

Are you a fan of Jane Costello? What's your favourite novel of hers?
