BEAUTY: Barry M Coconut Infusion

When I was in my local Boots the other day, I spotted that Barry M had a new range of nail paints out from the last time I visited. This was the Coconut Infusion Range. The formula includes coconut  water and coconut oil to help hydrate your nails whilst still providing a glossy gel-like finish.

(My nails are slightly chipped but this was 4 days after I applied it)

I was more interested in the colours than the added coconut benefits though I was curious about it. I struggle with peeling nails and so I thought this may help to prevent my nails from peeling a little and I have noticed an improvement in this too. I love the colour, I picked up Surfboard which is a pale nude pink. It looked really nice with my accessories for Saturday night too. It's the perfect colour to wear all year round in my opinion too. It's still has that glossy finish like the Barry M Gelly range does too. I'm definitely going to be going back into store and picking up a few other colours as they were all really pretty.

BEAUTY: Rimmel Bestival Blue

I was in our local Tesco the other week with Scott and I was looking at the makeup stands in the search for a new nail polish. I haven't bought many nail polishes for a while and so a lot of mine are quite old now and are starting to go sticky and tacky and aren't applying very smoothly. I was on the hunt for a  new blue shade when I spotted the Rita Ora collection for Rimmel and found the shade Bestival Blue.

I really like this shade and alongside a Barry M nail polish these are the only two shades I've been wearing all month. It's a pale blue shade that pops on the nails. It's perfect for spring and looks really fresh. I'm so glad to be able to take off the berry coloured shades that always end up staining my nails despite a base coat. This applies really smoothly and you can get away with a single coat if you are in a rush. The polish dries really quickly too which is always a bonus and you don't then have to sit and wait ages for it to dry and are then in fear of smudging it. I've found I can get away with a couple of days without the nail paint chipping but I do have to take it off after 3-4 days. I haven't worn a blue shade in such a long time so I've been really loving wearing the shade. There's some really nice colours in the Rita Ora range so I might have to pop back in and have another look.

BEAUTY: Barry M Autumn Hi Shine Gelly Collection

I am a nail polish junkie! I can't resist buying new nail polishes and though I may not be the best at applying it or doing nail art, I simply love having bold coloured nails. Like a lot of beauty bloggers, Barry M' s Hi Shine Gelly nail polishes are some of my favourite. The other week when I was having a cheeky browse, I noticed that they had their new collection for Autumn in.
L-R 'Paprika' and 'Mustard'
I picked up the colours 'Mustard' and 'Paprika'. They were two of  the most unusual out of the collection and definitely two colours missing from my collection. 'Mustard' is one of my favourite colours for Autumn/Winter and I've been looking for a nice jumper or cardigan in this colour for a while now. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find one so picked up this nail polish to fill the void (if you know anywhere selling mustard knitwear, please let me know!) I've had yellow nail polishes in the past and haven't really liked them, thinking they made my nails look really nasty or barely showing up. But this is quite unique. I find 'Mustard' is quite subtle compared to some of my nail polishes which are more in your face but it's different and I don't think its something you see on everyone. I really enjoyed wearing this nail polish. As all the Hi Shine Gelly nail polishes, the polish lasted a long time before chipping and was very glossy looking.
Barry M Hi Shine Gelly (Mustard)
'Paprika' is more of an orangey/brown. Again, a colour I haven't really owned before. It reminds me of Autumn leaves, I prefer this for my toes rather than my finger nails but find it really flattering. I will definitely be picking up more of the colours from this range.

Have you tested any of the new Barry M Hi Shine Gelly Autumn collection yet?

Barry M Natural Glow Palette

Hi Guys,

So yesterday I was wondering around town after I finished work and popped into Boots. It's very difficult for me not to pick something up from the makeup aisles when I go in and despite telling my mum, 'I'm not buying anything' still ended up passing the lady over the counter the money for this gorgeous palette.

This is the Barry M Natural Glow Eyeshadow and Face Blusher Palette (click here to buy). It was one of those things that when I saw it I knew I had to have it. I've never worn a lot of eyeshadow (year 8 experimentation, eek), but lately I have found myself wanting to wear more after seeing bloggers such as Lily Pebbles and Vivianna Does Makeup talking about the Urban Decay Naked Palette's. I can't bring myself to spend that much money on something that I don't know how much I will use at the moment. This palette was significantly cheaper and similar (not a complete dupe).

It has six shades ranging from a pale shimmer pink, a cream shade (which is difficult to see in the swatch) two golden colours a grey and a dark brown. There is also a mix of matte's and shimmers. The palette also includes a pale pink blush, which gives a natural flush, perfect for the season. Personally, I've never seen this palette in the shop and thought it was a nice alternative for those of you who are just getting into makeup, or like me, don't wear eye makeup very often. I know I'll be getting a lot of use out of this and my Sleek Palette has been demoted to the bottom of my palette collection so far.

Obviously, I haven't had the opportunity to test the palette properly as of yet, but once I have I will return to give a full review. But these are a few pics of my first use (the pink and the last two shades were used, the very dark shade to line the lower lash line).

Have you guys tried the Barry M Natural Glow Eyeshadow and Face Blusher Palette yet? Or any gorgeous palette's, let me know what they are below.
