BEAUTY: REN Vita Mineral Active 7 Eye Gel

As I've been trying to get into a proper skincare routine, I invested in the REN Vita Mineral Active 7 Eye Gel in the hope that I would actually get into using eye creams and for once it's stuck. Maybe it was because the product is £20 (though there is 20% off at Feel Unique at the moment) and it's quite a lot of money to splash out on such a tiny product in my opinion.

I've been using the product pretty much every day and night for the past month. It hydrates the under  eye area and the gel helps to cool this area which is brilliant first thing in the morning to help  make you feel more awake. I've found the gel texture also helps to reduce puffiness under the area, so if I've been up late at night or just haven't had a good night sleep it helps reduce the bags that appear. The product also helps with dark circles. I have notice if I use it constantly that my dark circles do appear to be clearer and my under eye area does seem brighter but I do suffer badly with dark circles and nothing seems to get rid of it properly (any recommendations would be appreciated). Thought it's only 15ml of product, you only need a small amount so the product will last you ages.

I've been loving using this product lately, I can get a bit lazy when it comes to my skincare especially at night but I've been applying the tiniest amount under my eyes most nights and I have been enjoying the step in my skincare. It's quick and easy and I have noticed a difference in my skin. I no longer have that cakey look under my eyes when I've used this in the morning and then applied makeup which is always a bonus. Definitely check it out if you're looking for a new eye gel. I really like the REN as a brand and haven't been disappointed with any of the products that I've tried.

BEAUTY: Fleur De Force Make Up Range

I am a huge fan of Fleur De  Force she was one of the first beauty guru's that I started following when I got into watching YouTube about four years ago and was always one of my favourites. When I watched her video announcing that she was releasing her own make up range, exclusively with feelunique.com, I was so excited and saved a little bit of money in order to make a couple of cheeky purchases.

I ordered a lipgloss and a eyeshadow quad so that I could give both products a test and see what they were like. First off I picked up Fleur de Force's lipgloss in 'Starry Starry Night' this was the product that I wanted the most. I love a good berry lip in autumn and winter and this doesn't disappoint. It's a very bold lip in a pink berry colour which is one of my favourite shades of lip colours to wear. The application is really good, there is a lot of pigmentation within the product and it's similar to the Bourjois Velvet Matte Lipstick with the idea of the product. It's almost a liquid lipstick. I love the fact that the lipgloss doesn't feel tacky or sticky in anyway and are actually quite moisturising on the lips. I was quite surprised by this little product, I'm not usually a huge lipgloss person but this has started to convert me. Plus the vanilla scent is absolutely gorgeous too.

I also purchased an eyeshadow quad in 'Lunar Rose'. Since the package arrived with my little treats in I haven't stopped using this small palette. I've got a lot of nude coloured palettes so wanted to try something different and this is a perfect addition to my collection. I've been loving using the top two colours. The pink shade as an all over the lid shade and the sparkly, purple/brown shade in the crease of the eye for an everyday look. Again the quality is superb especially considering the price of these products. I've been wearing them all day and they haven't budged and that's without a primer. Its definitely become my go to palette at the moment.

As well, as purchasing the lipgloss and quad, I also received the Fleur de Force compact mirror which is adorable. I love the watercolour background. I'm lusting after the makeup bag now and more of the lipgloss. It's definitely worth looking into the range and trying a few bits out, there's definitely a little something for everyone in the range. Well done Fleur and I can't wait to see more in the collection.

BEAUTY: Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm

I realise that everyone and their mother has spoken about this cleansing balm and last year it seemed that every blogger out there was raving about the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm. I was always intrigued about the product and wanted to try it but I couldn't help thinking that it was extremely expensive for what is essentially a cleanser. However, after Christmas I had a little spare money and decided that it was time to treat myself.
I was really surprised by how much I love using this product as well as being incredibly relieved. It's a lot more luxurious than what I've used before however it doesn't particularly feel heavy instead it's got a rather buttery texture to it. Cleansing balms I've used before I've noticed that they feel a little heavy on my eyes, whereas this feels quite gentle and doesn't sting my eyes. The product removes my makeup really well and I feel like it does really remove all my makeup and I don't wake up with panda eyes in the morning after I've used this.

I absolutely love the smell of the product too, it's very subtle and calming. I usually struggle with using fragrance face products, but the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm doesn't upset my face and cause me to have red rashes on my face like other products I've used before have. I also really like the packaging. It look expensive sitting on the shelf in my bathroom and also came with a muslin cloth which is so soft and lovely to use.

I didn't really think that it would have benefited my skin in anyway as it is a cleanser. Since starting using this product, however, several people have commented that my skin looks softer or feels softer. Whether this is simply from using this or the other products that I've changed up in my skin care routine recently I'm not quite sure.

There is a lot of hype around the product, but as someone who does live on a budget, I would seriously recommend it. It feels really lovely to use and I'm dreading what I'll do when it runs out, hopefully that is a long time away  yet. I find you don't have to use much product, however, which is another bonus. If you're considering buying it but not sure whether or not to join the bandwagon, I'd definitely jump on board. It's one of the best skin care products that I've used.
