BEAUTY: What's in my Make Up Bag

I love to having a nosey into people's make up bags and so today I thought I'd share with you what's been living in mine for the last few weeks. I picked up a new make up bag on Monday from Urban Outfitters, I'm going away at the weekend so I wanted something that would fit my make up brushes in them as well without completely crushing them and this one does that perfectly. These items I basically use all the time and they're my go to products for when I'm in a rush in a morning.

First up, I've been using the Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer whilst I originally didn't get along with this product, I've been trying it out since my Nude By Nature Primer ran out and I've been enjoying it. I find it's quite silky in application and whilst I originally broke out when I first started using it again, now I'm having no problems. I just apply my primer with my fingers.

I then use my Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in Ivory. I've been using this foundation for a couple of months now and love it. It's quite a full coverage foundation but it feels really light on the skin and it doesn't feel like you've got anything on. I apply my foundation with the Zoeva Silk Finish Brush. I then go in with my concealer and again I've been using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for years now. It's just the best, in my opinion, for hiding and brightening up dark circles. After that I like to set my base with the Boujois Healthy Balance  Powder, just a light powder to set things in place.

I've recently picked up Benefit Hoola Bronzer, after lusting after it for ages I finally had enough boots points to pick up the miniature that they sell. Using the Real Techniques Contour Brush I just apply this to the hollows of my cheekbones to just look a little more tanned and healthier. I then use my Nars The Mutiple (Orgasm) on my cheeks. I've been loving cream blushers lately and this has been my favourite over the last two months, I just use my Real Techniques Stipling Brush to bush it in.

Once my base is finish I then just use a bit of eyeliner (which I couldn't find when taking the picture) and a mascara and I've been loving the Lancome Hynose Volume-a-porter. I find it gives you a bit of length but makes you eyelashes look really full. I then comb through my eyebrows and apply a little bit of lipstick and I'm good to go.

BEAUTY: Zoeva Rose Golden Collection

Every blogger and their mother has spoken about the Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set and I've had my eye on them for a while now but I kept putting off buying them for one reason or another. I finally caved a little ago and I'm so happy that I did. I store the brushes in a Ted Baker pot that I picked up from Boots at Christmas. It used to have a candle inside but I just burnt that down and cleaned the pot out and think that the Zoeva brushes look absolutely gorgeous stored inside.
First off they look so beautiful with the black and rose gold, they look a lot more expensive than what they are too. The brushes are incredibly soft too, I wasn't expecting them to be quite so soft, but it makes applying your makeup really lovely. The brushes come in a brown leather makeup bag with rose gold lettering and hardware which has been living in my bag since they arrived.

I love the 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek I tend to use this to apply bronzer as it applies the product really lightly which is how I like my bronzer to look. It's the perfect shape, in my opinion, to contour your cheeks also and I've been using this brush most days. I've also been loving the 142 Concealer Buffer in particular to blend concealer around my nose and under my eyes. It's the perfect size to get into these smaller areas. Before I just used my fingers to blend concealer but you can tell the difference when using the brush. I also really love the 102 Silk Finish brush to apply my foundation. I loved the Real Techniques Buffing Brush but I find that this is slightly more dense and leaves my foundation looking flawless.

Finally, I've been using the eye brushes pretty much everyday. I've been desperate to buy the Mac eyeshadow brushes but I never get around to it, now that these are in my life though I can settle. The 227 Luxe Soft Definer and 231 Luxe Petit Crease brushes have made applying eyeshadow so much easier and my eyeshadow looks a lot better than what it used to. I definitely need to invest in more of these brushes that's for sure.

BEAUTY: FOTD - Fresh Faced

I tend to get into a rut when it comes to my makeup, for as long as I can remember my look has always consisted of mainly black eyeliner. When I was fourteen I used to wear heavy eyeliner (I was going through my 'emo' phase). Eyeliner on my waterline has always been the look that I consider 'me'. It's what I'm comfortable with - mostly because I can't do winged liner. Anyway, I've recently been trying to use new products and finally stopped wearing so much black khol liner on my waterline.
For my base I wore my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation (Classic Ivory), I find the coverage is perfect for me, it's quite light to medium coverage when built up and the colour matches well with my skin tone. I blend this in with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. Next up, I used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (Fair) to get rid of any dark circles. I apply this in a triangle shape beneath the eye to brighten up the entire under eye area and just use my finger to blend this in. I apply a little bit of Rimmel Stay Matte (Translucent) powder just to set my base with the Real Techniques Powder Brush. I then brush through my eyebrows before using The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder and applying this in a 'three' shape from my temples, to the hollows of my cheeks and then my jawline, I use the Zoeva Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush as it does apply really lightly and as I'm pale I don't want to add too much. Then I move on to blush and I've been using the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush (Lovely Pink). Finally I've just been using Maybelline The Colossal Mascara as I find it gives you really voluminousness looking eyelashes with just one coat and makes my eyes look really big. Finally I've been using Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick (Amazing Grace) on my lips.

When I don't have much going on with my eyes, I like to have a bold lip and I find the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick gives me a bit more colour but still looks very natural too. This is the look that I've been loving wearing at the moment and I think it's a perfect look for spring.
